My comics page has over 50 strips on it, which, barring catastrophe, I read every single day…. and I read a few others irregularly. There are some that make me laugh, but I only occasionally comment on them, like Speed Bump, Argyle Sweater, Off The Mark, and Loose Parts… to name a very few…You’re already on Brewster, Frazz, and Monty, I believe.
I love Pearls and Get Fuzzy…. used to post every day but don’t much any more.
One of the most well-written strips I know of is Agnes… the forum is small but fun.
I enjoy commenting on some where there are other posters with whom I have a regular dialogue…so I’m usually here, and on Daddy’s Home, and Cleo and Company (a Sherpa strip). and often, The Dinette Set. and/or the cartoonist joins in, like Charlie Podrebarac’s two, FatCats and CowTown…and some new ones like Wrong Hands and WaynoVision.
I don’t know whether a “wild” forum is what you’re looking for or what you’re avoiding … but to me, Ballard Street isn’t wild, just crazy… and it’s like home.
There are some I just have to read, but don’t enjoy their forums… like Doonesbury, the Calvin and Hobbes re-runs, and Non Sequitur.
I was a daily poster at Luann, but it got TOO wild… Though already too long, this list isn’t even half of the 50 on my page…. though a few of those are ones I’m not even sure why I read any more, but I can’t seem to let them go.
Varnes… seriously?
