On a similar note: There’s a difference between having shortcuts to documents on one’s screen and having shortcuts to them on the screen. If a document is on the screen, the program running it is open, using up RAM and slowing the computer down. The program using the document is open for that document only. If you have two documents on your desktop of the same type, the program running it is open twice, using up more RAM and slowing down the computer more. I worked with an Engineer who had forty or fifty documents on his desktop and always complained why his computer was so slow.

I have about a dozen Tabs in my refrigerator; they’re probably out of date by now, but I just can’t make myself finish them.

I don’t see any fruit, so I guess he’s not a member of the Moron Tab n’ Apple Choir.

Back to the Future: Marty asked the 1955 cafe guy for a Tab. “You have to order something first – then I’ll give you a tab.”
