But just being around Brewster, one should have safety goggles, whether you know something bad is coming or not.

Not to mention special protection for the area around the spleen (just ask Winky). Also a helmet, full body armor, an environmental suit in case you get blown out an air lock, special protection from temporal disturbances in case he goes back in time and turns everyone into monkeys AGAIN, planetary mortgage protection,… come to think of it, it’s not safe to be within at least a couple of light-years of Brewster. Yikes!

This reminds me of the story ‘Vintage Season’.

Would that be Ted as in Ted Cassidy, best known as Lurch in “The Addams Family”, the “To Serve Man” alien in “The Twilight Zone”, and a ton of appearances on scifi shows of the 60s and 70s?

Whatever it is, it’ll probably make “The Milky Way’s Funniest Home Videos.”

I admit I’d forgotten about Lurch… I could only think of Jack Cassidy and David Cassidy, and neither of those made sense in this context. Except possibly to play Dr. Mel and Winky…

You’re not alone in thinking Ted the Observer is Ted Cassidy. The flared Elvis collar on that Star Trek costume gives it away!

I was hoping someone else had gotten it. Oh…it’s so wonderful to be so old and able to make these nifty connections!

I (like others) knew he looked familiar, but it’s just been too long since I’ve seen the relevant referents! Thanks, O Ye Ineffable Purveyors of Television History! :)
