Gasp!!!! Oh, the horror! The humanity!

Yeah, if it weren’t for the Web, I’d have to go back to … shudder … reading the newspaper!

I’d be in serious trouble if the internet went out - I’m several thousand miles away from home.

I know just how the guy feels…(blush)…I mean simply about over-reliance on the Internet! :)

And what’s worse, after spending most of my life deliberately in the 19th century (at least with regard to certain printed editions of Hebrew Scripture), now I feel lost if I’ve lost my iPod Touch! (LOL)

what is this ” Internet?”

The internet isn’t the only thing we’re dependent on. I’m 55 and I have no idea, at all, how we got by without cell phones…

We are at the mercy of a single fuse.

You mean I’d only get the comics my newspaper prints?

I just heard Michael Jackson died!

There is no choice out there… you can’t trust newspapers these days any more than you can trust the internet. sigh

There would still be alternative news sources like “Democracy Now!” on Pacifica and some college stations.

I don’t use the internet.

Our electricity died for two days last month. Cant watch TV. No internet. The phone provided by Comcast isnt powered off the phone wires, it relies on a battery which lasts about 4 hours. Cell phone batteries last about 24 hours. Reading a book by candle is difficult. They dont sell Coleman lanterns anymore in any store I know of. All there is to do at night is fiddle, or go to bed

I still say it’s a fad.

No internet? Good heavens! How will all the five-year-olds out there get their porn?

No internet is an inconvenience, true, but not really a cause for alarm. Now if something happens to homing pigeons–then we’re in trouble.

I haven’t left my house in 25 years, but if I did I’d fear not, because I’d bring a lot of dimes for pay phones.

I feel your pain but without the Internet to tell you that you are in pain, could you be sure?
