I am all too familiar with this phenomenon. Often the disappeared object will reappear in the same place but 2 or 3 days later, having bounced into the future.
Does Brewster really run some sort of internet dating service for socks? I’m sure he’ll find a mate for the blue sock, based on 29 Dimensions of Compatibility that are predictors of long-term relationship success.
Speaking of racial profiling: we have recycle bins for our paper marked, “White Paper Only,” and “Colored Paper Only.” Tsk, tsk. I thought all of that ended in the ‘60’s.
No, it would be the reverse of a gravity well. A star makes a gravity well. A black hole (which normally is a collapsed star, or more than one) makes a much steeper one. A white hole would be more like a geyser than a well (may all the REAL physics students here forgive my gaffe if I goofed).

Someone has to ask the obvious question:
What happens when the white hole disappears into the black hole?
Game over?

Nice illustration, talewinds.

Wouldn’t a “white hole” be a star, and wouldn’t things emerging from it burn up before they’re all the way out?

Strange acting man walking beside road, wearing one shoe.
“Hey fella, you lost a shoe!”
“No, man. I FOUND ONE.”
