If you think about it, this makes perfect sense that this should happen. In so many sci-fi movies and TV shows where space travel occurs, encounters of passing ships have both ships reaching each other having the same orientation. Why should that be so?
yeah, that kinda bothered me in the old Star Trek.If the Enterprise was disabled or damaged, the special effects guys just pulled up one of the strings that supported it so that it was cockeyed to the viewer.it also kinda bothered me that when , in a vacuum, the spaceship Enterprise would “whoosh” by you in the opening credits.still, all and all…….
Seems to me the Enterprise (under Picard) once encountered a crippled Federation ship. It was tilted at an angle and they noted that it was not in “standard configuration.” It would make sense to orient your craft with the galactic axis. But in the case of today’s strip, both could be — one with the north, one with the south.
That’s because the station gravity is artificial and is relative to the station itself, not the space around it (operating under the premise that this stuff exists of course – I am a Trekker, not a Trekkie)

I can’t believe Tim is using Brewster as an example.
Since when has Brewster ever known which way is up?

What I hate is when you’re doing warp 2 and you come up on a guy in the fast lane doing warp 1.4.
