Trappist-1 is about 40 light years away. If Winky’s spaceship can travel at least 99.99% that of light, the relativity factor will enable him, in his perception, to get there very quickly. Unfortunately, from our perception it would take about 80 years to hear that Winky arrived (40 years traveling + 40 years for signal to reach Earth.)

If you can travel like they do on Star Wars, you’ll be back before lunch.

To make that trip light speed is too slow, the kid will need to go right to ludicrous speed.

Winky will take one of the time machines with him. He’ll be back in no time. They assign a lot of work to him because he usually has no time to do it.

The problem is using a time ship as a space ship could be a problem since the planet won’t be in the position you need.

Just solve the problem by having distance on both sides of the equation, thereby cancelling itself out. (“Teach Yourself Cartoon Physics vol 1”)

There’s 325 million miles to Trappist-1, we’ve got a full box of dilithium crystals, it’s dark out and we’re wearing visors.
