The impulse that makes people stare at their smart phones all the time may not be a new one. I’ve been reading the 17th century diary of Samuel Pepys. He got around London mostly by walking, and he always mentions reading books while he’s walking.

Of course, the number of people literate enough to do that may have been smaller back then.

Funny scene in Antman and Wasp. Giant goes by a coffee shop in a hurry not to be seen but no one looks up from their phone so he’s safe.

The truth is out there.

Smart phones are the reason all right, every one of them has a camera that could capture the pictures / video that would be proof. Same thing with miracles, reports of them are way down to images on toast and unverifiable medical events. Amazing what the ability to provide visual proof has done to those reports.

But there are apps for tracking UFOs now. So we all should see an increase…
