There’s a danger when the computer simulations develop consciousness. Anyone remember a STNG episode where one of the holodeck characters realized what he was? (This was not the same as the Doctor on Star Trek Voyager.)
It only makes sense that killbots in a video game would be really good. Terminator T-1000 at least. The Winky player could be great, but with killbots after him all the time, would still inevitably lose fairly often.
New Game for X-Box. “R.U. Sirius” Brewster Rockit, and his crew of misfits, fight Killer Robots and Aliens. Level one: Your Avatar is Winky and you must defeat the Killer Robot. To move on to Level Two. “Ready Player One”

If this was a video game, Winky would only get three spleens.

Think Winky counts more as a NPC

That’s because Dr. Mel is controlling Winky’s character from inside the game.

The video game idea explains why you never see a restroom on the station

Isn’t this sort of the plot of “Free Guy?”

Now then, as your doctor I’m prescribing a pill for that delusion. Do you want red or blue?
Buckeye67 about 3 years ago
It’s not really that Winky’s player is not very good, it’s more a case of Dr. Mel’s player being mean and nasty.
cuzinron47 about 3 years ago
Then again you could be comic strip characters.

Maybe Winky is a Low Tier-Induced Scrappy.
