I’m not worried until AI can answer questions like, if a tee shirt on a clothesline in the sun takes one hour to dry, and a pair of jeans takes two hours, how long does it take to dry two tee shirts?
This reminds me of the trope in movies where hackers have taken over a computer and they only have hours before it launches an ICBM. The people standing there panicking have physical access to the computer and its power, have physical access to the missile, and where the rocket leaves the silo but seem unable to do anything to stop it.
I think it is a mistake to make robots that plug themselves in to recharge. There should be at least some limit to their operational lifetime, just in case they run amok. Of course, that NEVER happens, right?

Humans need to intake energy as well, we just don’t instantly shut down when our supply gets low.

Human brain ~ 20 Watts.
One cosmic ray=>flash of light maybe.
AI super computer ~ 20,000 Watts.
One cosmic ray through memory=>bit-rot.

So, this was the last generation of AI before The Matrix, when they turn us all into batteries?

If the AI is that smart, I imagine that it could make Asimov’s fusion micropile a reality so that its power source would last forever :)

Humans have a charging pad too. I wonder if cell phones dream when they’re charging?

Oh like that doesn’t happen to humans who don’t recharge (aka eat).

That soliloquy sounds like something Albert might have just said to the robot.
