That’s a different type of stupid to what is usually meant by the expression, ‘Why are there so many stupid people in the world?’. Which usually refers to the stupid people who think they own it, but have no respect for it or its inhabitants. People like politicians big business and common thugs, litterers, vandals and general slobs.
Irwin on the other hand is just a lil slow and wouldn’t hurt a fly unless it bit him first ;)

DREAM SCOURGE I don’t think this is the comic strip to say so, but if you want to scream about the producers and creators, be my guest. I’m sure the users and takers will run the world into the ground, after they’ve used everything Big Business has made for them.

Then there is the kind of stupid that comes from ignorance of others and their needs. Also, ignorance of what the real everyday people of the world need. Big Business has come to represent this category of stupid quite well. Also, the liberals have also come to this. Neither side wants to really help the “people”, they just want to push their agendas as far as they can go down our throats. Personally, I’m choking now. Hope you all are not.
I think Broomie was asking why there are so many unintelligent people in the world. As a troll, Irwin is definitely a guru of that set. (in Russell Myers’ definitive quote from years back, ”Hee-yuk!”).
But, there is a difference between unintelligent and unwise, and some of these comments may forget that distinction.
We haven’t forgotten the distinction, Johanan. We simply realize that all too often, they are lumped into one bag. Actually, I would prefer simple to the unwise. Most of the simple, really do know it and don’t try to be anything but themselves. I really would like to learn that kind of humility.
