Broomie must subscribe to HULU and/or CBS All Access. It saddens me to think that there are Americans who are paying to watch more advertisements than programming.
I DVR all the shows I want to see… then just 3x fast forward through the commercials. I’ve sat through some commercial breaks and forgot what it was I was watching!
I use only “free” thru the air TV. Still get mostly ads but I’m not paying $100 a month for them and find just as much good stuff to watch, which is to say, not much.
all tv has become a glorified superbowl – it can only be watched for the commercials – isn’t anything else worth watching imho and the commercials were never worth watching from the beginning – but boy does it help companies make money – especially the tv networks

Broomie, you seem to be under the misapprehension that “the program” is what the TV overlords want you to see….

Watch very few programs on my TV. Mostly the news and a couple of other things. Usually sets are off. Yes, Sets.

You can tell when it’s a commercial… there are no on-screen bugs, pop-up ads telling you what’s coming up next or next week, laugh tracks, etc.

Try the only good station—OFF.
