I believe, that old swimming rule has been debunked. Although I have know those who ate and swam and got cramps which makes the old rule seem plausible.
It looks like the lifeguard probably can’t either.
It explains why she doesn’t bathe very often.
It’s just well, looks like the water already has an oil slick.
