Anyone here old enough to remember Disney’s “the Sword in the Stone” about King Arthur, and one of the characters, a comical witch named “Madam Mim” who loses a wizard’s duel with Merlin?
After the cartoon film flopped, Mim showed up in Donald Duck comic books. She claimed to have “reformed” though the Beagle Boys were often trying to involve her in their schemes.
I bring it up because Broomie reminds me a lot of Mim. I wonder if Mim was the inspiration for Broom Hilda.
