It’s a classic monkey trap and the way natives of the islands and jungles caught supper. Coconut shell, paw sized hole in one end, a vine or hide ‘rope’ out of the other end tied to a well driven stake. Nuts or berries in the coconut. Monkey does a Broomhilda and you now have supper.

Grab the cookies with index and middle fingers, and hand will slide out, She can have her hand, and cookies too.

I’m so glad we had a cookie jar with a large opening. Impossible to get your hand stuck in it, no matter how many cookies you grabbed.

OK, you think of one. In the mean time, no cookies for you.

Somewhere that I can’t recall, people trap monkeys that way. They put fruit or a nut in a hole in a tree. The monkey won’t let go of its prize. → Monkey meat.
