Davids skills as a cartoonist are at his best today for sure . Each image of the precious Buckles is as good or better than the last , the one at the lower right of the circle is a " scream " for sure and Pauls expression in the last panel is just precious : )
Perhaps, Paul, you didn’t have to make a second pass to deliver papers on Sunday, like I did. Of course, it was only on Sunday that I delivered out-of-town papers from, not one, but two major cities, which were gorram huge, but still… ☺
If Buckles wants out of that job, he could take the paper in one page at a time due to the heft. Paul would not be happy. He might even decide to get the paper himself since it would be easier. Buckle’s looks too small to be carrying that paper.
Back in the old days, my late springer spaniel, Samantha, would retrieve the late International Herald Tribune, which was only 12-14 pages. The IHT died in 2013 and Sammie in 2019. : (

Newspaper full of holiday sales ads?

The ads in the Wednesday paper make it bigger than the Sunday which is smaller than the old weekday papers.

Sunday’s and Thursday’s papers are always the heaviest due to extra ads, here anyway!

Buckles is smaller than you.

Especially nowadays. Shrinking ads mean shrinking copy, equals fewer newspapers locally.
