Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for September 03, 1988
Transcript:
Calvin: I think rituals are important. My favorite ritual is eating three bowls of "chocolate frosted sugar bombs" and watching TV cartoons all Saturday morning. After a few hours, I'm so overstimulated I can't sit till or even think straight. Hobbes: Sort of a transcendental experience, huh? Calvin: Yeah, I acheive a lower consciousness.
It’s times like these—just thinking about such a regime—that I need to go meditate in a quiet room and regain balance.
