Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for July 21, 1989
Transcript:
Dad: Wake up, Calvin. It's 5:30 and you can see the fish jumping. Calvin: Mmf. Goway. Dad: It's a beautiful morning. The sun's barely up and there's a mist over the water. It's perfectly still. Not a soul anywhere! Don't you want to see this? Calvin: Leemeelone. Dad: I thought you said you wanted to go fishing. You've got top get up early if you want to catch anything. C'mon, the canoe's all ready and I've got your fishing rod. Calvin: Mom, make Dad go away! Dad: Another thing I like about summer vacations is the sharing of special moments.
“Goway” and “Leemeelone” are two of my favorite words that were invented by the entire strip.
