Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for August 30, 1989
Transcript:
Calvin: Hi, Mom. Can I look in your wallet for a few mintues? I, uh, want to see something. Mom: Hold on. Did you make your bed like I asked you? Calvin: I'm working on it. Mom: As I recall, your bed is in your room. Calvin: I'm inventing a robot to make the bed, but I need a grant. Can I have $50? Hobbes: What'd she say? Did you get the money? Calvin: Boy, when we're the cover story of popular mechanics, I'll have some choice words to say about family encouragement.
Mom believes in doing the job, then designing a better way.
