Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for February 23, 1990
Transcript:
Calvin: Dad, if you threw a snowball at someone, but deliberately missed, would that be "bad"? Dad: Well, I suppose that would be provoking. So yes, it would be a little bad. Calvin: As bad ast if you'd hit the person? Dad: No, not that bad, but worse than if you hadn't thrown it at all. Calvin: Suppose you just grazed the person. How bad would that be? Say maybe you knocked off his hat and his glasses or something. Dad: That would mean instant death.
Old Dad catches on pretty quick, sometimes.
