How wonderful,that children don’t think in this way for long time. they love thei parentes, for they ARE their parents and not only for the money.

LIfe would have been much easier if my parents had run away from home instead of me.

I think pops has lost the election.

Dad’s probably thinking: “If only this WERE an election! I’d gladly bow out and let the other guy “win” the office of “Dad” for a while!!!!!”

Pops always loses the election, but he rules by benign indifference.

I don’t know why Calvin’s Dad doesn’t tell him about benign dictatorships. I always told my kids democracy ended at the sidewalk, and they didn’t get votes until they moved out! Worked for me……

Dad always pulls something out to get Calvin’s begrudging vote. Calvin wouldn’t like “Dad Swap”.

He ran an ad once looking for a new dad. His dad found out though.

We had a democracy…but Dad and Mom got one vote for each kid, plus one extra for themselves.

Our house was a “dictatorship” as I was growing up. The only person who got to vote was my dad! My mom didn’t even seem to have a vote from what I can remember! Back in those days, the “man of the house” was the one who made all the decisions and everyone else just had to go along with it.

Dad would love to lose the election.
