Calvin is the spitting image of the professional athlete spitters, unfortunately. In our church slow-pitch softball league, hardly anybody ever spits. It’s a nasty habit, and almost always unnecessary.
Regarding your post yesterday about how you wish you could watch Looney Tunes cartoons again but you don’t have cable t.v. Who needs (cable) when you’ve got the internet!!! Here are some suggestions for you!
Youtube.com: put Looney Tunes cartoons, Merrie Melodies cartoons and Warner Brothers cartoons in the search engine box.
Hulu.com: put Looney Tunes cartoons and Merrie Melodies cartoons in the search engine box.
Google search engine box: free online cartoons, free online Looney Tunes cartoons, free online Merrie Melodies cartoons, and free online Warner Brothers cartoons.
Also: places like Amazon.com, eBay, etc. have boxed sets of Looney Tunes cartoons you can buy, as well. I think I’ve even seen them in the dvd section of my local Wal-Mart at some point too.
Well, I think that just about covers it! Have fun!!!!!
Great strip today of all days. Sitting here waiting for the final game of the Little League World Series with great anticipation. The pros could learn something from what has been going on in Pa. It is a true world series with the final US champion playing the final International champion. It has been great fun to watch those youngsters play great baseball and have a lot of fun while doing it. The truly love the game. Greatest quote from a little red headed 74 pound boy to his mom: “Mom, It’s hard to hit a fast ball when its speed is more than you weigh!”No gate admission to the games. All volunteer workers including the umpires. They could put the pros out of business if the TV networks would televise a game of the week during the Little League season.
Who’s on first,What’s on second,I don’t know plays third,I don’t care is the shortstop,Tomorrow pitches,Today catches,Why is in Left Field,Because is in Center.
Literally nobody is the Right Fielder – he’s not mentioned in the script, or in the movies, or in any known radio broadcast.
Another interesting game like this one was half-court basketball with doubling up on teams. You really had to keep track of which team had the ball, which half of the court you were supposed to be on, and who was playing (at that moment) for the other side.

Double play? I’m confused, but then it doesn’t take much to do that to me.

Yesterday is catching, but Tomorrow is pitching …(or is it the other way ’round).

Much as I love CalvinBall, I can’t keep up with the rule changes.

I love to watch their games, but like Lewreader, I could never keep up well enough to play them.

The rules are actually pretty simple: run around till you can’t run any more, than sit down and argue over who won!

Rules are meant to be broken.

Definitely a guy’s game, and a major reason we need sugar bomb cereals for breakfast.

just proves that the game is for kids to have fun..period! Rules are something for the adults to fight about and keep them out of the kids way…

Wiseguy411 covered all the bases (and the other positions). It’s a walk-off homerun. Game over!

This is, perhaps, a precursor to Calvinball. By the way, Calvinball always reminded me of Nomic, or was it the other way around?
