Here we have hot weather, between 30 and 40°C. But, when you open the window in the night, cold air comes in . I got a sore throat and cough and people ask me, why I am suffering on this when weather is so hot!

And if he moves only a little he’s going to sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiide all the way to a grisly, Calvinesque end.

I don’t even want to know how either a stuffed tiger or an imaginary one can have “a big, hot, furry body” – partly because if I did, I’d know how Hobbes does everything else and quite frequently to Calvin’s detriment.

@King Shark: Ummmm………….. Thou art welcome, oh ruler of the finned predators. I won’t let that comment go to my head. Don’t want to become light-headed.

Gotta love Hobbes’s expression in the third panel: the expression of someone who’s finally had it with Calvin. It’s more commonly found on Mom’s face.

@Snoopy_Fan: You must be a real Snoopy Fan………At least Calvin doesn’t have to sleep on the peak of the roof like Snoopy, and he is able to feel the breeze now. Regardless, he looks shingle-air-ly uncomfortable. (Sorry, that one was for Puddleglum.)

Love that hahahaha klunk bit with Woodstock & Snoopy. :)I had a teddy that took up too much room in the bed and made me sleep against the cold wall. He never threatened to strangle me but he had a killer look of reproach if I ever tried to make him switch sides. So I didn’t.

@Hobbes,“shingle-air-ly uncomfortable”I ‘gritted’ my teeth or I would have ‘raised the roof’ on that one!You should be ‘tarred’ and ‘furthered’ by the women of Marblehead!

“And Mom can’t imagine how my pajamas get so gritty.”Mom is dull-witted as well as unimaginative if she can’t figure it out!Apparently Calvin’s imagination comes from Dad. Duh!

@MORMON,You’re quite right, of course, but then there wouldn’t be a problem. It’s in the same category with them who say Calvin should keep his mouth shut and he wouldn’t end up on the roof. However, we have a right to be logical even if the cartoon isn’t!

Hobbes, Number Six, Night-Gaunt49, Molly mcgee, Sandy Shore, Vonne Anton, Teresa, Blue Pumpkin, The Snoopster, lectricdude and It is Alive!:

Thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday. They were very much appreciated! Cancer is one of those cruel diseases that can strike anyone, anywhere, at any time . . . it knows no boundaries of any kind — age, sex, race, religion, social/economic status, etc. None of that stuff matters to cancer one little bit. Sometimes you’re lucky and you survive . . . other times, you can give it your all and still not make it. My dad didn’t 10 years ago (among many others in his/my family) and unfortunately, my cousin didn’t either. She fought the good fight for 4 long years but in the end, it was just too much for her and she finally had to let go. The one good thing about her death is the fact that she doesn’t have to suffer with it anymore.

    :-(

Live everyday as though it were your last because you just never know when it will be!!!!!
