Perfect wintertraining!

Shoveling the snow has the same effect!

I rode to bible study in the low 20’s once. Did it in the upper twenties just recently.

(But it’s less that 1.5 miles.)

In that stuff I exceed my optimal heart rate without ever going outdoors.

I don’t ride in snow and ice, brakes don’t work too well then.

sshhhhh………..don’t use the “s” word. People around here go nuts if they hear it. Bread and milk disappear from store shelves at the mere whisper of it.

There will be snowmen around the house when you get home be careful.Susie make up some snow balls and trap Calvin to come out,catch him by surprise.

GROAN !!! (but a good one, I’ll have to admit.)

My high school swim coach used to do this.

Forty years ago, I used to bike year round in any weather. However, that was before cell phones. Today, half the drivers are talking on the phone, the other half are texting, no one is paying attention. I don’t ride at all now except at parks where there are absolutely no cars.

My husband rides his bike all year to work, studded tires in the wintertime. Don’t catch me doing it though…

So many (snow)children? There must realy be too less work!

To be good is not funny enough! And priests in their confessionals have nothing to do, Calvin must bring work to them!!

And now we know. Dad’s given name is Lance.

Calvin, are you really sure that’s your Dad? I can’t tell with all the cold weather gear.

It’s nice that Calvin worries about his Dad….that kids not all bad.

I rode my bike in the snow once….and took a dive on an icy curve. I haven’t done it since.

Sure it’s tough, but it “builds character”!

Maybe the car wouldn’t start

Poor Dad… When he gets home he’ll have the fire on in the sitting room and Hobbes will probably be lying down in front of the fire on the carpet and will be curled up in a ball.

This was my first thought. C&H was an inspiration for Jef Mallett & Frazz. These are my two favorites all time.

There’s a guy in my neighborhood who runs, regardless of the weather. Snow, rain, hot, or cold, he runs. Gotta admire that some.

In southern Oregon, I’ve ridden my bike to work for 2 1/2 years, rain or shine, snow or sun. Some days it’s easier than others, but it’s fun no matter what the elements might be.

Dad reminds me of Claude Raines in ‘The Invisible Man’.

Biking in the freezing cold snow . . . that’s either true dedication to health and exercise on Dad’s part or . . . Calvin’s somehow disabled his father’s car and it’s currently in the shop, leaving him with no other way to get to work except to ride his bike.

Hmmmmm . . . my bet’s riding on Calvin for this one!!!!! ;-)

Yeah, go on and ride… never mind that drivers may not see you.
