Talk about work! The 4 year old twin great grandsons just left after a 3 day visit. Towels in the machine, but dried grass all over the floor. Why am I on Gocomics, you ask? Rest.
Oh really… “Hang it up where it belongs!”With Calvin’s height…??-And all you people want to do is harshly discipline him just because of his height and left his coat on the floor since it’s closer…??-It’s going to be a real hassle to hang it UP now…
Time to get out the ping-pong paddle, the one with all the holes drill in it, then a few swats on Calvin’s’ behind would fix his recalcitrant behavior.
At least when Calvin first threw his coat on the floor, it was on a rug in front of the door. How is dragging the same wet coat across the floor in order to hang it up where it belongs going to create LESS work for her??? Now someone is going to have to go get the mop!

Silly Calvin. In order for you to have extra work, you actually have to have some work in the first place!

Calvin DOES work?!?

When my son used to leave his coat lying around, I’d hide it and he’d have to find it in the morning before he could leave for school.

Calvin needs an attitude adjustment…

At least he tried to leave it on the rug, instead of dragging it thriugh the house and hanging its soggy self in the closet…

Poor poor Calvin. Life’s just not fair. Over worked and under appreciated. Sigh.

Mom, just leave it there, cold and wet. He’ll find it that way in the morning and face the consequences of putting on a cold wet, wrinkled coat.

Wonder what Calvin’s Dad does with HIS wet coat?

…hope he said that VERY softly…
Aaron Saltzer almost 12 years ago
She yells at him for throwing it on the floor, but not for dragging it through the house. That makes a lot of sense.

Indeed … that face in panel 3 is a classic.
“C&H” has some of the best faces I’ve seen in comic-dom.

I’ve been where Calvin is right now. I loathed doing any sort of housework as a kid.
