That’s a pretty good argument.-—Happy Black Thursday! Wait, what do you mean, “Thanksgiving”? Oh yeah, that thing. I could’ve sworn we as a country had forgotten about that by now.
“… don’t shop till Friday.”How about joining the Reverend Billy and me and making it Buy Nothing Day. Mindless consumption, especially in the US, Canada and Europe is destroying the world for my children. I do give thanks for my 14 mo old (Aaron Jerome aka Aaron Jerry named after Jerome Garcia aka Jerry Garcia), my 5 yr old (Christopher Adam) and good health. I don’t thank an imaginary father figure in the sky. I thank my Mom and wish she could still hear me. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Evolutionarily speaking, dinosaurs didn’t really die out. A group of them evolved into a different species: birds. So, enjoy your dinosaur on this Thanksgiving day.
This reminds me of something I haven’t thought of for quite a long time. I think one of the watershed moments in my life was a simple amusing little article someone wrote about a character named “Bilious Bob”, intended to show how one could play with numbers. He took the number of days in a typical school year and proceeded to subtract days from it like week-ends, holidays, teacher’s conferences, etc. In the end, he stated that Bilious Bob did not have to go to school at all! Of course, I realized that it was ridiculous, but it got me to thinking about how interesting numbers could be, and very likely steered me in the direction of my eventual career path, computers and programming.
Actually, you’re all wrong. T-Rex was just a predator or a scavenger, he was both! There are no pure predators or scavengers in nature. Lions will scavenge, just as vultures and hyenas will kill. It’s all about opportunity.

I never understood why tyrannosaurs would have such tiny front legs.
