Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 22, 2015

Transcript:
Calvin: "Hey, there's some sort of remote control gizmo in this drawer"
Calvin: "I wonder what it does"
Calvin: "WAAA!"
Calvin: "Mom?? Dad???"
Mom and dad: "CALVIN!"
Mom: "Calvin, that's very annoying"
Fret not Calvin, one fine day, you’ll be rich enough to leave behind those two Moldy Old Antiquated Relics sitting on the sofa… But make sure to bring Hobbes along with you since he’s the closest thing to having a brother…
Wasn’t there one where Calvin tells his class his mom wears a patriotic leotard, cape and boots, which got him in trouble with the teacher? If you ask me Calvin’s teachers are way too touchy about Calvin actually showing some admiration for his mom.
Calvin’s Mom has her hands more than full with Calvin, but when the chips are down, she is there for him. Like when he comes in from the cold, wet outside and she sets him up with a hot chocolate and a comic book. She takes care of him when he’s sick. And who do we think sewed his Stupendous Man cloak for him, after all. She must have made it for him!
Calvin’s mom always struck me as the more understanding parent. His dad is the one who is constantly putting him to work and making him “build character”. The only two times where I can remember him being nice to Calvin are during the raccoon storyline and the time they built a snowman.

That’s one way to sneak out of the house just for the babysitter to come.

Oh yeah? Let me see Batman handle multifaceted patent lawsuit, or Wonder Woman cook a dinner that comes to life and recites Shakespeare.

Yeah, don’t ask him what’s wrong or anything. Just tell him he’s annoying.

I wonder if Calvin was dropped on his head as a baby.

I guess the “hiding in plain sight” maneuver didn’t work. (Back to the switch in the Shakespeare bust…)

I believe Calvin just turned on the TV while Mom and Dad were trying to read. That would be annoying.

You should never leave your remote control gizmos lying around where kids can find them.

I wish I had one of those remotes for the floor to eat me up if I’m in an embarrassing situation.
