Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for May 13, 2015
Transcript:
Calvin: "A big part of life is boring routine. I need more excitement" Calvin: "So today, I'm going to have a new kind of cereal!" Hobbes: "This cereal doesn't have any chocolate frosting. It has fiber and raisins" Calvin: "Of course, a big part of life is horrifying surprise. Routines can be comforting" Hobbes: "We tigers prefer to inflict excitement on others"
Notice how Hobbes’s body is curved in the first panel. No human could do that. It’s the way housecats typically look when they run downstairs on their two hind legs and then jump over the bottom few steps. Or, Calvin and Hobbes are near the top of the stairs and Hobbes is jumping onto the handrail to ride down.
