Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for October 12, 2015
Transcript:
Calvin: Mom, I need to collect leaves for a school project. Could we go to the arboretum sometime? Mom: Sure. How about this weekend? Calvin: Um, it would be better to do it a little sooner. Mom: When is it due? Calvin: Well, my notebook's in the car and the park closes in 20 minutes. Mom: Calvin, I'm fixing dinner!
actually, some of this mess is on Calvin’s parents. When I was his age my mom made sure she knew what homework I was assigned so I could do it, this project has been on Calvin’s table for a month and his parents didn’t know anything about it. Given Calvin’s habits of shirking responsibility and not doing assignments they really should be in the habit of taking a look at Calvin’s books when he gets home to make sure he does his assignments.
