The great tiger mystery.

You know, now that I think about it, how come I never hear of burglars take their victims’ landline phones in order to prevent the police from being called upon? These days, we’re in the mobile phone age where we always have such a device on hand in case of such emergencies.

Everything can be replaced except Hobbes. Calvin would be lost without him.

There are some thieves who’d steal a kid’s stuffed toy just to be mean!

Hobbes was in the bed when they left. Perhaps he’s bravely under it now? :)

I think Hobbes will be OK. Snatching a tiger would be very dangerous.

What about Hobbes’ animal instincts, cunning and superfast reflexes, huh Calvin?! Maybe he went out for a prowl when the burglars visited!

Hobbes? Trusting? Really?!?

Woman at work had house broken into. I said get a burglar alarm. Nope. Two weeks after buying new stuff house was broken into again.

Apparently, a stuffed Tiger for a house defense system is not a good idea. ‘Home Alone’ this is not.

Poor Calvin, his best friend is gone. Sad.

To Calvin, Hobbs is the most valuable item in the house.

A what?? Anyway, Calvin’s mother is a saint. She has more important things on her mind than a naughty little boy’s ridiculous hysterics.

She’s great; she knows how important Hobbes is to Calvin. The kid’s hysterics are real, not ridiculous. Hobbes is his alter-ego.

growing up in the country we always had a watch dog tied up outside. when one dog died of old age we would get a young pup and train him to bark when strangers were around. the one night someone tried to break into a neighbours drive shed where they kept their tools. Our newest dog who was maybe 4 months old broke off about 20 feet of his quarter inch chain and ran the burglar off from the neighbor’s farm. I sort of feel bad for the burglar seeing an 80 lb dog dragging a long thick chain behind him coming racing towards him baying like the Hound of the Baskerville’s, but our farm and the neighbours never had any burglar problems after that although several places in the general area were robbed.

For once Mom shows some empathy for Calvin…
