I like Hobbes’s line “In the past, you’ve been a remarkably poor judge of what your Mom cares about?” That sets the theme for the rest of this strip as Calvin greatly exaggerates how angry his Mom will be.
Thank goodness I finally took my Sienna in to have the Park recall fixed, or it may have turned out like that Jeep and the actor, or, worse, this. And, my Betsy was away overnight just to swap a relay, instead of her nice warm garage.
I was sitting in the family truck. my mother had turned it on then gotten out to get something she’d forgotten. I don’t remember if I touched something or if the truck was in neutral and started moving on its own. My mother tried to stop the vehicle by getting in front of it. Fortunately I had enough sense to shut off the truck and stop it. kids and vehicles are not a safe mix.

You can not push a car that is in Park and most cars you have to start the car to shift.

Pushing the car around is pretty hard. I am thinking that there is no where this can go, but wrong.

We pulled this stunt when I was a kid. Neighbor’s car ended up on the lawn across the street.
