Can someone explain this one? As far as I know there is no such thing where I live (other than the Internet) so does Calvin mean airports in the US have machines that sell life insurance?!
Every time that I see a bully picking on someone in the comics, I think back to Qui-Gon Jinn saying that there is always a bigger fish in The Phantom Menace.
This is my second time reading this strip today and I’ve just spotted one continuity with yesterday’s strip which I missed the first time. Yesterday’s strip showed four pictures of Calvin without panels to divide them. Today’s strip continues this for the first drawing of Calvin and then returns to the panel format.

Let me guess whom Calvin would name as the beneficiary if he did take out an insurance policy.

It’s about time the little imp start thinking about saying his prayers.

Ya know, I haven’t seen one of those one-shot (excuse the expression) insurance vending machines in any airport for a looong time.

Isn’t there always a recess supervisor to complain to? It’s not as funny, but far more effective.

Get on the swing, swing real high and when he walks by, jump off the swing and pounce on him. Hobbes would.

My mom bought one of those vending machine policies (50 cents iirc) every time we took dad to the airport for one of his business trips in the 1950s

Today’s strip is funny, but I can’t believe Calvin knows anything about insurance, how it works, what it is, etc.

Life is an adventure. Live it.

I don’t think they still have those machines.

For all the stuff Calvin comes up with to get one over on his folks, surely he can outwit Moe.

You need a diversion, Calvin. You’re clever like that – think of something.
