A popular quote is “Haters are my motivators.” Hopefully that’s the case for Calvin

And Calvin is a “genius”, in his own mind that is.

Pretty prosaic for a Calvin snowman.

Genius is rarely understood in any time.

Self praise is no praise is another apt saying……Just saying..

Cut your ear Calvin. Celebrity guaranteed.

What they should marvel at is that you know and understand the meanings of “evanescence”! Not to mention existential concepts!!

Where genius?

Artistic genius is a matter of opinion, anyway.

I’ve always wondered…..how does this kid know those big words let alone what they mean when he doesn’t pay attention in school?

in philly we’ve had a really mild winter. only 1 day when it snowed enough to need a shovel. since then it’s rained a lot and we’ve had cold days but never together.

For his birthday I will get Calvin a copy of Tom Wolfe’s “Painted Word”

Calvin’s parents must have him enrolled in a Classical School….“Classical education depends on a three-part process of training the mind. The early years of school are spent in absorbing facts, systematically laying the foundations for advanced study.”

How can it ever be too warm to build a snowman?! – if there is snow on the ground to make the snowman, then it’s by definition not too warm.

Now, it’s easy to be too cold to build a snowman – if it’s cold enough, the snow doesn’t stick together and all you can do is pile powder up – no definition – no way to mold and shape.

Art is hard to recognize sometimes.

Mortality is a horror. Try not to dwell on it.

I prefer sandcastles for my statement of the brevity of life and art. A wave is so much more dramatic.

I’ve about given up on seeing snow this year.

And yet,he just did!

Obviously it is NOT too warm to build a snowman. Since he did build a snowman.
