Still looking for the Church Of What Goes Around with Preacher Payback at the pulpit. Would not be so much having Services as it would be Serving It Up.
Don’t know what the attitude is now. But my elementary school didn’t have any play equipment. Our recess time was outside. But we mostly ended up either standing or running around playing tag.
Well, looks like Mr. personality has made an appearance. And an unwanted one at that.. Moe is probably my least favorite character in this strip. He is just a meathead with a capital “M”..
My first therapist once asked where I thought the people who left me for dead were today. I realized there were two possibilities for each of them: they stayed on the dark path and were likely in prison, a part of the life they chose; or they saw the light and led a better life, but since we didn’t know each other they would have no way to make amends. Imagine that: making it to a brighter future and feeling a guilt that could never be absolved. When PTSD is not hammering on me I feel like I got the better deal: a life free from that sort of guilt.
My all-time favorite C&H strip. I cut this one out of the paper on its original publication date and it is still magneted to my refrigerator door. Yellowed and faded, but still true.
Not in this life. However, unless Moe repents and trusts Jesus, he IS going to be incinerated forever. That’s a whole lot longer than right now. Is that long enough for you, Calvin? Just wait.
If that were the case, this entire planet including every Church, the Vatican and Mecca included would be incinerated. He, who is without sin, cast the first stone. Be thankful for God’s mercy….
“It’s called flowers wilt, it’s called apples rot,It’s called thieves get rich and saints get shot,It’s called God don’t answer prayers a lot.Okay, now you know.”—S. Sondheim
I wish Calvin had friends like Lio does. If he did, bullies like Moe would have seconds thoughts about punching and bullying him around. Too bad Hobbes does not protect Calvin from bullies like Moe. I do not find the bullying funny.
Calvin is a sad little boy with no real friends whose parents are oblivious to his being bullied by a bigger kid who routine!y steals his lunch money. This is funny?
Fun fact: 65 years ago today, on November 5th, 1955, a boy named Marty entered Hill Valley. One week later there was a big lightning storm and Marty vanished.

Why is Moe so fixated on that one swing in the playground? is it the only one in said playground? Or did he mark it like a dog marks it’s territory…
