Is this Calvin’s way of saying he enjoys getting beaten up?

Calvin asked for it. Wonder how Bill could come out with this kind of conversation. No wonder this strip has been enthralling millions across globe.

It certainly is a successful strategy on LinkedIn and NextDoor. And sometimes on GoComics.

There are hardly any story arcs in the current reprints. Due to this, we nearly always see Hobbes as the living tiger that he is shown as when only we and Calvin can see him or when only we can see him and not as the stuffed doll that most human characters see him as.

There was a short story arc a few weeks ago in which Mom appeared and saw Hobbes as a stuffed doll. There is a week-long story arc coming up in which Mom will also appear but not with Hobbes. Due to this, Hobbes will only appear as a living tiger in that story arc.

If more people every now and then made corrections to thick-headed types like this (though not quite like Hobbes did, mind you), how much better off would we be?
