Cathy Classics by Cathy Guisewite for December 01, 1993
Transcript:
Mom: This year simply write the name of each person you're getting a gift for on a separate envelope, Cathy. Then get $150 in cash and divide it into the envelopes. When you shop, pay for each person's gift with the cash in his or her envelope...and ta, da! You won't have a penny of charges to pay off next year! Cathy: Have you ever done this, Mom? Mom: Goodness, no! But it's such a sensible idea I thought I should suggest it so you'd feel guilty about not doing it, either!! Cathy: December 1, and Mother's already putting in her holiday over time.
If it’s so sensible, why doesn’t she do it?
