Cathy Classics by Cathy Guisewite for November 17, 1996
Transcript:
Door bell: Ding dong! Cathy: I'm coming! I'm ready! Completely ready! Absolutely, totally, fabulously ready!! Date: Is that what you're wearing?? It's really slippery ouside, Cathy. You should put on some flat boots. Cathy: If put on flat boots, my pants will be three inches too long. I'll have to rehem them. Date: Put on shorter pants. Cathy: If I put on shorter pants, I'll have to rethink the whole top half of my outfit to create a festive-yet-appropriate-for-flat-boot-look. Date: Put on a skirt! Cathy: My long skirts are hemmed for tall boots. My short skirts could look ok with some short boots, but none of the ones I own. I have the long elegant tall boot look and the short, casual flat boot look...but to expect me to spontaneously combine the two in one split second shows you have a complete lack of understanding not only of me, but of the whole female sex..and therefore, this date is cancelled! Date: Another male heart trampled by women's footwear. Electra: Bravo! Bring out the slippers and the popcorn!
