Irving called for the first time in three years. The first thing I thought of was my fat. The man from the most significant relationship of my life resurfaced. My mind immediately focused on my fat. A hundred conflicting emotions snapped on like a hundred flashing emergency lights...and all I was aware of was fat fat fat!! Some call it insecurity. I say the brain runs to the thing that most resembles a pillow.
