Dad: We're saying "no" to Christmas cards this year! Mom: Instead, we're writing nice, long notes to each friend and family member explaining why we're not sending cards. Dad: We're saying "no" to gifts! Mom: Instead, we're making little "thinking of you" mementos out of recyclables and holiday berry branches. Dad: "No" to parties! Mom: Instead, we're calling all the people we're offending and begging them to come to our house for dinner so we can apologize! Dad: "No" to baking! Mom: Instead, we're buying all goodies pre-made and spending hours embellishing them so they taste homey.
