Cathy and Charlene: To simplify Christmas, we vow to stick to a $10 gift limit! Cathy: $10 value? $10 everyday low price? Or $10 sale price? Charlene: If we say "$10 value" but the gift is on sale for only $2.99, are we done or do we need to buy a couple of little bonus gifts? Cathy: If we agree to "$10 sale price" but find a $35 gift on sale for $10 that comes with a "$14.99 value" gift with purchase, do we give or keep the gift with purchase? Charlene: If we put a $10 sale-priced gift in a $2.50 gift bag that the other person can reuse...isn't that actually a $12.50 gift? Cathy: And why should a $2.50 gift bag add more value than a $2.50 reusable bow and $1.75 of lovely flattenable gift wrap? Mr. Pinkley and male co-worker: To simplify Christmas, we vow to never try to simplify Christmas! Charlene: If the $10 gift earns two more stamps toward a $25 "Holiday Bonus Bucks" coupon, who gets the stamps?...
