Present: Do not open until December 25...unless you really, really want to or I can't stand it. Cathy: This is perfect for Lori! But everyone who knows Lori will think it's perfect. Lori will get 47 of these! I'll only get credit for finding the perfect gift if I give it to her first......But EVERYONE will want to give it to her first. Cathy (Texting): Hi Lori. I'm attaching a photo of your Christmas gift! Isn't it perfect?? It's so perfect for you! Lori (Texting): Thx. Here's ur C-Mas card. Hpy holidaz. Saleswoman: May I help you? Cathy: Yes. I'd like to return the last 15 minutes.
I can sympathize with Lori. I had a friend who never had time to get together all year long, or would call me, but sent me & my family Christmas gifts. I always felt obligated to find stuff to give to her & her family, but since we never saw or talked to each other, I had no idea what to get them. What was really bad, is that she would send Christmas stuff in January, after I thought we had stopped exchanging gifts. The friendship is now over, because, to me, a friendship means communicating with each other, not just shipping gifts.
