Cathy: You think WHAT, mom?? Mom: Cute! I haven't seen you roll your eyes at me like that for so long! Cathy: MO-O-M!! Mom: The "THREE-SYLLABLE MOM"! I haven't heard that in years! The incredulous stare! The exasperated sigh! OH, SWEETIE! IT'S SO GOOD TO HAVE YOU HOME!! Cathy: Dad?? Dad: Now she's calling plaintively over your shoulder just like she used to!
She sees them all the time. Why does a middle aged woman have to go stay at her parents’ house in the same town, for a week every Christmas? I always found it creepy and weird. Besides, I’ve only seen sons get drooled over like this, never a daughter. Creepy and weird!
