Cathy: ...Sixteen! What did you get? Irving: What did I get for what?? Cathy: What did you get for your crouton calculation? Irving: My what?? Cathy: When your salad arrived, and you visualized all the croutons laid in flat rows, how many did you calculate would equal one piece of bread? Irving: Why would I do that? Cathy: So you'd know how many croutons you could eat! Irving: Why couldn't I eat all my croutons? Cathy: Because as soon as you eat enough croutons to equal two pieces of bread, you'll feel terrible! Irving: Because then your SALAD has o count as a SANDWICH! Cathy: NO!! A salad NEVER, EVER, EVER, counts as a sandwich!! It doesn't matter HOW MANY croutons you eat! Irving: I give up. Saleswoman: Masters of so many complex sports......Yet they'll never really understand the rules of "salad".
