Mom: An envelope with calligraphy! An engraved invitation! A proper response card! A "www-dot..."?? Cathy: That's the website where the bride and groom have registered for stock, mom. Mom: They registered for stock?? Cathy: Stock or munis. They're trying to rebuild their portfolio. Mom: What happened to something for the home? Cathy: Right here. See? They registered for mortgage payments. Mom: Mortgage payments? Why not just say. "Send us cash"?? Cathy: Their cash registry is here. They'll also accept frequent flier miles. Mom: In my day a wedding gift was something chosen with love to treasure for a lifetime!! Cathy: Click here. They also registered for payments on their visa bill, which may or may not include some things they actually still own! Mom: WAAH!! Cathy: It's an emotional time, mom. Dad: Women and weddings. Nothing ever changes, does it?...
