Cathy: My friend and I put a $15 limit on gifts this year. Saleswoman: Excellent! This is $15, and it's a $40 value! Cathy: But what if she gives me a $15 gift with a $20 or $30 value?? I don't want my $15 gift to look more expensive than her $15 gift. Do you have anything for $15 that's a $15 value? Saleswoman: No. For a $15 value, you'll only pay $6.99! Cathy: Nothing like clear guide lines to completely complicate life... Saleswoman: At $6.99, you could buy her two!
Leave it to Cathy to completely complicate something as easy as a $15.00 spending limit on gift-giving! What does it matter what the store’s so-called “value” is on whatever item you choose just as long as what you end up paying for it doesn’t go over your agreed-upon amount???
