Cathy: And we'd like them with extra sauce! How could we spend so much time dieting and still gain so much weight? Why didn't we notice that food was getting so huge? What did we think would happen if even our "healthy alternative" portions were five times as big as our regular portions used to be? We hunger for answers.
Portion distortion. WW teaches portion control — which is really the answer. I read an article by a Hollywood star once upon a time (can’t remember the name). She said when she eats out, she cuts the portion in half and then cuts it in half again and it is just right. That’s how she stayed thin. I usually split restaurant meals with my husband (just last night in fact) and still have enough to bring home for another meal (tonight). It works for us.
