Mr. Pinkley: Quick! Where's Fred?!! Cathy: Fred's taking two personal days to make it a six-day four-day weekend. Marcia added a sick day, linked it to last weekend, and made it a nine-day four-day weekend... Sue and Tim are using unused vacation days to make it a 12-day four-day weekend... Mr. Pinkley: What?? Who made up these rules?! Cathy: Harvey. "Mental Health" Sabbatical... he left in October for a 26-day four-day weekend.
Can someone explain the concept of ‘personal days’ please? Other countries don’t have them – we simply have a certain number of vacation days (typically more than in the US) and public holidays (not Thanksgiving, obviously!). So in this scenario the first two people would need to use vacation days (unless genuinely sick of course).
