Cathy: I'll just stay for a quick cup of coffee and see if we have anything in common. Andrea: Instant OK? Too busy to commit to a whole dinner...no time for a leisurely lunch...too many obligations to put energy in any relationship that might not work... 2004: The line blurs between best friend and blind date.
I’m confused here. Given the change in clothing for both Cathy and Andrea, you’d think this was a different day than the one before (or, in this case, Saturday). And yet from Cathy’s “I’ll just stay for a quick cup of coffee and see if we have anything in common” statement, it seems obvious to me that this is still the exact same day — or at least it’s supposed to be anyhow. Right? Otherwise, wouldn’t they have been able to determine (on Sat-urday) whether or not they still had anything in common when they finally saw each other again after spending 3 years apart? Or am I wrong about that?IF this is still supposed to be the same day, then it seems like someone should have caught that mistake before it went to print. But I could be wrong about that (if so, it certainly wouldn’t be the FIRST time!). Anyone else have an opinion???
