Voice: Squint and pretend the dress is three sizes smaller and two feet shorter. Squint and envision professional makeup and perfect jewelry. Squint and imagine a fabulous hairdo with tiara and veil. Squint and visualize toned arms, trimmed waist, whitened teeth and a sparkly pedicure. Ironically, at no other time in life is it more important for a bride to have her eyes wide open.
I agree with you lightenup and summerdog – I liked yesterday’s tiered dress.
Thank you to all who offered condolences and kind words yesterday. I often keep things bottled up but I know that’s not good for me. No matter how much time passes, it never gets easier. Especially when it comes to special events. My dad is also gone, since 2001 and I’m not even 40 yet. I’m just really thankful that I do have family still here for me and I’m thankful for all of my Cathy friends!
Have a beautiful day – those in the states enjoy the long weekend, I know I will!
