Saleswoman: If you and your fiance plan to expand your family, you'll need... Cathy: Expand?? Oh, no! We're definitely not thinking about that right now! Mom: ("Not thinking about that right now". "Not thinking about that right now" could mean, "might possibly think about that some other time." "Might possibly" could mean "maybe"..."Maybe" might mean a "chance"... If there's a "chance," it's "conceivable" and "conceivable" means.... Bong, bong, bong! Dad: ...Now what? Cathy: I accidentally set off Mother's hope detector.
Oh jeez, now she’s lost her mind! Why is it that as soon as someone is at one stage of their life that others keep pushing them to the next? “Oh, you’re single? When will you have a boyfriend?”“Oh, you have a boyfriend? When will you get engaged?”“Oh, you’re engaged? When will you get married?”“Oh, you’re married? When will you have a baby?”“Oh, you had a baby? When will you have another one?”For Pete’s sake, let people enjoy what they’re doing now!.Hello Cathy clan! Happy Sunday! Thanks for commiserating with my Comcast woes/frustration/anger yesterday. Believe me, I’d rather poke my eye with a rusty needle than stay with them, but we have little choice at this point. Even if there were an alternate company, we’re not at home long enough to get it installed and make sure it’s working correctly. And internet is essential at this point because it enables us to keep an eye on our house and make sure it’s protected. We don’t have cable at this point, thankfully. That’s sad that even employees of these companies don’t like who they work for… :-\
